Moving in Tauranga and the Mount: what we plan for

The Mount main beach strip and the CBD waterfront along The Strand have tight parking and one-way sections, so we start those moves early before the streets fill. In the older suburbs like Greerton, Ōtūmoetai, Bellevue and Gate Pā, mature trees and rear sections off right-of-way driveways mean the truck can't always park at the door, so we check the access when we quote and bring the right truck rather than assuming a clear run. Out in Pāpāmoa East and Wairākei, shared driveways and new-build access rules are worth raising with the body corporate or the council before the day. Every truck carries at least a one-tonne tail lift, and the fleet runs to around 70 cubic metres in total.
